Frequently asked questions
Do all your sunglasses have UV protection?
Yes, all our sunglasses are equipped with UV protection to protect your eyes from harmful UV rays. You can enjoy the sun in style and protection without worrying.
What are self-tinting lenses?
Self-tinting
lenses automatically adapt to the light conditions, darken in UV light and become clear again indoors. So you always have optimum vision, whether indoors or outdoors
How do I clean my glasses properly?
a)
With microfiber cloth & alcohol-free eyeglass cleaning spray:
- Spray the eyeglass cleaning spray
evenly on both sides of the lenses.
- Use a clean microfiber cloth,
to gently spread the spray in circular movements over the entire surface of the
glasses. This will remove dirt, dust and fingerprints.
- Check the glasses for residue
and, if necessary, use the dry part of the microfiber cloth to remove streaks
and bring the glasses to shine.
b)
With dish soap and lukewarm water:
Rinse the glasses under lukewarm
running water to remove coarse dirt.
- Apply a drop of mild dish soap
to each lens surface.
- Use your clean fingers to gently spread the
dish soap over the glasses and dissolve any dirt or residue.
- Rinse the glasses thoroughly again
under lukewarm water to remove the detergent.
- Use a soft, dry
microfiber cloth to carefully dry the glasses and avoid streaks.
Both methods can be effective. The choice often depends on personal preference and the availability of cleaning agents. It is important to use gentle movements and not to apply too much pressure to the lenses in order to avoid scratches and, above all, not to rub the dust dry into the lenses, as this causes the worst scratches!
How often should I have my eyesight checked?
We recommend that you have your eyesight checked every 1-2 years to ensure that you always have the best possible visual performance.
Will my health insurance pay for my glasses?
The costs covered by health insurance depend on your individual insurance plan. Some health insurance companies offer subsidies for glasses, especially for certain vision problems. Many pay CHF 200 every 2 years.
Can I also order glasses to try on at home?
Yes, we offer a service for ordering glasses to try on at home. You can order selected glasses to try on at your leisure before you decide.
How long will it take for my glasses to be ready?
The production time varies depending on the type of glasses and the individual adjustments. The production time is between 3 and 14 days, depending on the complexity of your order.
